The People Who Only Know the Old You
Good morning, Bold Coffee Talk community!
Have you ever noticed that sometimes the people who have known you the longest have the hardest time accepting who you’re becoming?
They remember the woman who always said yes. The one who explained herself. The one who kept the peace even when it cost her peace. Then you change. You stop overexplaining. You become more selective with your time. You speak up. And suddenly someone says, “You’ve changed.” Maybe the answer is simply: I hope so. Growth was never supposed to leave us exactly where it found us.
Is someone expecting access to a version of you that doesn’t exist anymore? Keep becoming. The people meant for this chapter will learn the woman you are now.
